Alice Faye Thacker, age 72, of Dyllis community, passed away on August 8, 2024.

She lived in the area her entire life and was retired from the Oliver Springs Housing Authority in October 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Thacker; her mother and father, Jean and Herbert Hembree; her sister and brother-in-law, Alma and Billy Johnson; brothers, Tom Hembree, Arvel Hembree, and Jack Hembree.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Jeanine Thacker and Allison Thacker; her adopted son, Andrew Trentham; grandpups, Chex and Rex (her boys) and Ginger Lynn (Little Sas); brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Lois Hembree; sister and brother-in-law, Mae and Bill Dayton; sister-in-law, Betty Bunch and Mayron Hembree; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Roane Memorial Gardens.
