Betty Fay Jackson, 84, of Coalfield, left us peacefully on December 3, 2024, surrounded by family. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Born on May 7, 1940, in Del Rio, Tennessee, Betty grew up one of Eleven children of Walter and Marie Sweeten. She worked for several years at K-25 and Boeing in Oak Ridge before retiring.

She is preceded in death by her husband Burnace Jackson; several brothers and sisters; and grandchild Blakley.

Betty is survived by brother Frank (Becky) Sweeten, Robert (Gloria) Sweeten; sisters Gay (Richard) Weaver, and Shirley West; children Kathy (Mitch) Waters, Tommy (Mary Rose) Jackson; grandchildren Jessica Hensley, Ryan Jackson, Taylen Jackson, Storm Jackson, Blade Jackson, and Christopher Waters; great- grandchildren Lily Jackson, Savannah Jackson, Jackson Jackson, Ophelia Hensley, Tommy Blade Jackson, Gracelynn Waters.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of her caregivers.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 12:30PM to 1:30PM.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Pastor Corey Jones officiating.
