Clara Yvonne Collins, age 90 of Oliver Springs passed away Friday May 22, 2026. She was born June 5, 1935, to the late Byrd Collins and Sadie Adkins Collins. Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Gene Collins, one son Dwight DeWayne Collins, six brothers Elisha, Halbert, Bruce, Clifton, Clayton, and Hoover Collins, and six sisters Esta Sexton, Pebble Knopf, Eliza Retnizer, Ruby Hammonds, Florence Deaton, and Goldie Moore.
She was a member of Beech Park Baptist Church. Ms. Collins loved to cook and spend time with her family. She enjoyed exercising at Cardio Rehab. The staff arranged parties when she attended 1000 and again at 2000 visits. She also enjoyed watching hummingbirds. Ms. Collins was the biggest UK basketball fan with cherished autographed photos from the coaches.
Ms. Collins is survived by one son, Stephen Collins and his wife Darlene, one daughter Pamela Duncan and her husband Doug. She is also survived by three grandchildren Chris Duncan and his wife Tasha, Kelly Wampler and her husband, Michael, Amy Gill and her husband Jeremy, and six great-grandchildren Kyler Duncan, Kyle Vanwitzenburg and wife Hayley, Isaac Vanwitzenburg, Kaitlyn Bullock and husband Justin, Mason and Sadie Wampler and four great-great grandchildren Carter, Hudson, Cooper Vanwitzenburg, and Lincoln Bullock.
The visitation will be held at Beech Park Baptist Church on Wednesday evening May 27, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Robbie Leach officiating. Burial will be on Thursday, May 28, 202,6 at 2:00 P.M. at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton, TN.
Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Cox, Keith Wilson, Chris Duncan, Jeff Kelly, Michael Wampler, Isaac Vanwitxenburg and Kyler Duncan.
We want to express a special thank you to her caregivers, Beth Long and the staff at NHC Oak Ridge.
