David "Red" Silvey age 63 a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away, Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. David was born November 25, 1956 in Knox County, TN.  He was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Tuppertown Baptist Church. Red loved playing the guitar, was an avid fan of Oliver Springs sports and Tennessee football and most importantly visiting with family and friends. #BFL #VFL. He is preceded in death by his parents:  Douglas and Betty Silvey and by maternal grandparents:  Owen and Thelma Cox. David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lesa Davis of Oliver Springs; by daughters:  Kelly Hatfield of Knoxville and Rita Young and husband, Steve of Knoxville; by grandchildren:  Dovie Hatfield and Blair Young who were the light of his life; by sisters:  Kathy Sholtz and Toni Schafer and husband, Fred; by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and by devoted pet, Star. In keeping with the family's wishes, David will be cremated.  The family would like to thank the doctors, and nurses "his girls" at the Fresenius Dialysis Center on Cedar Bluff for their care of Mr. Silvey.  Premier Sharp Funeral Home is proudly serving the Silvey family and we invite you to share a message of condolence to the family at www.sharpfh.com
