Ethel Ward (Freels), age 85, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, in Crossville TN.

She was 1 of 23 children. She enjoyed taking care of her grandkids and tending to her Garden. She loved the Lord, loved to clean, play piano, and enjoyed singing, and shopping.

Ethel is preceded in death by her husband Charles D. Ward; parents John and Verdia Mae Freels; sons Herbert Fritts, Jr. and Larry Dean Fritts; daughter Teresa Ward Lewis; and numerous siblings.

She is survived by her sister Bessie Gilmore; grandchildren Paul Fritts, Danielle Fritts, Angel Brown, Robbie Lewis; great-grandchildren Stevie Alcorn, Skyler Fritts, Bryson Burgess, and Regina Fritts; great great-grandchildren Olivia Fritts and Natile Fritts; daughter-in-law Debbie Fritts; son-in-law Robert Lewis; also by a family friend Charles Justice.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Premier Sharp Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating.

A graveside service will follow the funeral service and will be held at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
