Johnnie Harwell Nichols, age 89 of Oliver Springs, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 14, 2024.

He was born on January 4, 1936 the son of Luther and Margaret Nichols. Johnnie served in the United States Air Force before becoming the owner and operator of Scandlyn Lumber Company located in Oliver Springs. He and his loving wife, Kay, owned their family business for decades and loved serving the Oliver Springs area. Together, they were members of the United Methodist Church of Oliver Springs.

Johnnie is preceded in death by his parents, Luther Nichols and Margaret Scandlyn Nichols; son, Craig Nichols; daughter, Kerry Marcum; brother, Kenny Nichols; mother-in-law, Louise Murphy.

He is survived by his wife who he loved dearly, Kay Murphy Nichols and his granddaughter, Katie Knight.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at United Methodist Church of Oliver Springs.
