Lester Leo
Braden
Oct 19, 1939 — Feb 7, 2021
Lester Leo Braden, 81 years old, of Wilmore, Kentucky, formerly of Allen Park, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at his home in Wilmore. He was born in eastern Kentucky on October 19, 1939, the son of Lewis Columbus and Callie Vann Braden. He was a member of the U. S. Army where he served abroad in Germany and France. He moved to Michigan in the 1970's to gain employment and did so with the Ford Motor Company from which he retired. He was an avid bowler, a lover of music and sports, and loved fur-babies of any kind. He loved life in general, made the best out of everything using a little logic, and was endlessly waiting for Publisher's Clearing House to knock on the door. He was a great friend to many and could converse with the best of them, but he was also a very private and peculiar man. That's what made him who he was. In addition to his parents, Les was preceded in death by his companion of 21 years, Marge and their fur-babies Roscoe, Peanut, and Candie; his former wife, Helen; an infant son, Michael Anthony; brothers Daniel Bluford, Cherell, Eldon, Richard, and Dennis Braden; a sister, Annie Gallahar. He is survived by a son, John Allen Braden, of Pikeville, Kentucky; daughter Paula Kazee and husband Roy, of Wilmore, Kentucky; granddaughters Jillian Kazee of Sanford, Maine and Jessica Kazee of Hamilton, Ohio; a brother, L. C. Braden, Jr. of Oliver Springs, Tennessee, and his puppy Zoey, who loved him as much as he loved her...He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and their families as well as a world of friends that will surely miss him always... The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Premier Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs, TN. A graveside service will be held following the visitation at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton, TN. We are honored to be serving the Braden family.
