Margaret Loretta Fritts Harris, age 79, of Oliver Springs, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Park West Hospital of Knoxville, Tennessee.Born and reared in Oliver Springs, on June 9, 1941, she was the sixth of eight children born to the union of the late Clarence and Mattie Young Fritts.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Anna Rose Fritts Eskridge, Melvin Fritts, Sr., and Lowell Thomas Fritts.She was employed by Eastern State Hospital for many years, and she was a caregiver for her husband until her declining health. She enjoyed fishing.A very compassionate person, Margaret loved God and her family. She was a life-long member of Little Leaf Missionary Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. For many years, she was a lovingly devoted wife and caregiver to her husband, by whom she is survived, Johnny Harris of Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans' Home in Knoxville, Tennessee.Mrs. Harris is survived by: one sister, Hazel Fritts Robinson of Oliver Springs; three brothers, Hershell Fritts of Clinton, Tennessee, Robert Fritts and wife Betty of Nashville, Tennessee, and Curtis Fritts, Sr. and wife Theresa of Oliver Springs; beloved niece, Vivian Smith and husband Kenneth of Knoxville; devoted nephew, Rev. Norman Eskridge and wife Audrey of Jefferson City, Tennessee. She is also survived by nephews, Alvin Fritts and wife Tazz of Oak Ridge, Russell Fritts and wife Alicia of Greensboro, North Carolina, David Fritts and Gamaliel Fritts both of Oliver Springs, Tennessee, Lamont Fritts of Australia, Melvin Fritts, Jr. and wife Janice of Asheville, North Carolina, Gerald Fritts of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Curtis Fritts, Jr of Marietta, Georgia; nieces, Sandra Fritts of Knoxville, Tennessee, Elizabeth Fritts of Manasseh, Virginia, Reneé Turk of Akron, Ohio, and Kimberly Swett, Demicka Fritts, and Peggy Fritts all of Nashville, Tennessee; and a host of other relatives and friends.The services will be held at Premier Sharp Funeral Home, 209 Roane Street in Oliver Springs. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, and the funeral will follow.Pastor Thomas W. Dews and Elder Kenneth D. Lewis of Little Leaf Missionary Baptist Church will officiate, and the interment will be held at Carters Bluff Cemetery in Oliver Springs.Premier Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. www.sharpfh.com
