Mary "Ethel" Raby Vann, age 88 a resident of Oliver Springs passed away, Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Diversicare in Oak Ridge.Mrs. Vann was born March 6, 1931 in Roane County, TN.   She was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Elverton Baptist Church.Ethel was the best mother and loving grandmother the Lord could have given us. She is preceded in death by her parents:  Sam and Alice Raby; by her husband of 51 years, Rev. Freddie Vann; by a daughter, Ella Mae Lowe; by a grandson, Brentlee and by a brother, Fred.Ethel is survived by her children:  Jewel Sledge and husband, James, Deanna Russell and husband, Tim, Ramona Turpin, Nathan Vann and wife, Teresa, Darrell Vann and wife, Cissy, Wanda White, Vickie Clark and husband, Benny, and Allen Vann and wife, Bobbie; by 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; by 3 sisters and by a special friend, Mary Perkins.The family would like to thank the staff at Diversicare in Oak Ridge for their care of Mrs. Vann. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Premier Sharp Funeral Home for funeral expenses.The family will receive friends, Tuesday, January 21, 2020 between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Premier Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs, TN.  The funeral will be held, Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Indian Creek Baptist Church in Oliver Springs with Rev. Charles Webb and Rev.
