Owen Edward Duncan born April 29, 1943 age 82 passed away peacefully at his home on August 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong member of Big Mountain Baptist Church. A Deacon for 54 years and served as Chairman of Deacon Board for 53 years. He taught adult Sunday School at various times but taught for 41 years consecutively.

Owen worked at Y-12 for 28 years and 10 months, he retired from Y-12 as a Painter Supervisor. He was a Past Master of Omega Lodge #536 in Oliver Springs, TN, past Patron of Kingston Chapter #405 Order of the Eastern Star. His hobbies included hunting, ATV riding, traveling, bowling and coaching youth bowlers.

Owen is survived by his wife Marilyn Sue (Russell) Duncan of Clinton, TN. Daughter Cathy Sue Jones and husband Scott of Clinton, TN, son Robert Edward Duncan and wife Midge of South Carolina, daughter Sheila Gail Dye and husband Bobby of Clinton, TN. Grandchildren: Eric Jones and wife Kim, Bryan Jones and wife Haley, Caroline Duncan, Brianna Erts and husband Stephen, Quinton Maples and Katelyn Maples. Great Grandchildren: Michael, Emily, Joseph, Hadlee, Emilia, Sophia, Aiden, Arlo and Carmen. Also survived by a brother Harold Duncan of Oliver Springs, TN and special friends and cousin Brenda Leek and husband Tommy of Oak Ridge, TN.

Preceded in death by his father Owen Walter Duncan and mother Spicey (Daugherty) Duncan. Sisters Louvina Duncan and Dellene (Duncan) Russell and granddaughter Haven.

The family will receive friends at Sharp Funeral Home on Tuesday August 26, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a Masonic Service held at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel. Funeral Services will be Wednesday August 27, 2025, at Big Mountain Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
