Senior Airman Rylan Jase Glenn, age 22, of Oak Ridge, TN, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Currently serving as a SrA E-4 in the United States Air Force as a Mission Generation Material Handling Equipment Journeyman.
He was born on May 18, 2002 to Jason Glenn and Valerie Collins. Rylan lived a life full of adventure from an early age. He always had a fearless drive to experience the world. He joined the Air Force at the age of 18 and embraced every opportunity with a passion that was both inspiring and infectious. He was a fierce protector of his loved ones and will always be remembered for his vibrant energy, infectious laughter and his kind heart. Rylan was strong and steady and was always there when you needed him most. He was a cherished son, brother and friend. Rylan demonstrated remarkable resilience and an irresistible sense of humor that could light up any room. His strength was not only physical but also emotional, as he always faced challenges with a courageous heart and a smile that never wavered. His laughter and wit were a source of joy and comfort to those around him, making even the toughest days brighter. Rylan's spirit was a blend of boundless energy and unyielding kindness. Whether through his playful jokes, his unwavering support, or his ability to find the silver lining in every situation, he brought a unique warmth and light to all who knew him.
Rylan enjoyed riding motorcycles with his Fiance, Faith. He grew up riding dirt bikes and four wheelers and enjoyed spending time with friends on Windrock. He loved his truck and working on it. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and being on the lake, shooting guns, watching movies, playing baseball, camping, hiking with his dog Mango, going for long drives and listening to music. He loved spending time with his little sisters and brother.
Survivors include his Father, Jason Lee Glenn (Kristen) of Seymour, TN; Mother, Valerie Sue Collins of Oak Ridge, TN; Fiancé, Faith Ann White of Creola, OH; Sister, Raini Juel Collins of Oak Ridge, TN; Brother, Canaan Ridge Glenn of Seymour, TN; Stepsister, Holly Alyse Ivens of Seymour, TN; Maternal Grandmother, Ollie Sue Rainey of Clinton, TN; Maternal Grandfather, Benny Joe Braden (Susan) of Rocky Top, TN; Paternal Grandmother, Debra Jewel Glenn of Mascot, TN; Aunts, Lori Russell and Keri Russell; a host of cousins.
Also survived by special friends and extended family members: Chris Martin and Lauren Martin, Travis, Kristin and Heidi Choate, Holden Russell, John Mason, Eric Mason and family, Ethan Cox and family, Nicholas Jones and family, Marcos Gutierrez, Nick Darnell, Jason Dahl and family, Guilherme Serrao, Oscar Amaya, Gabe Seyfang, Gabriela Gracida Lopez, Rachelle Miller and family, Paige Tran and family, Leah Green and family, and a host of other special friends and family.
Rylan is preceded in death by Paternal Grandfather, Ricky Lee Glenn and Uncle, Daniel Joseph Braden.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, TN. A funeral service will begin at 8 pm with Pastor Robert Melton officiating. A graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Frost Bottom Cemetery in Oliver Springs, TN.
