Sara Frances Hughes, age 82 of Oliver Springs passed away, Monday, November 4, 2024, while being taken care of at NHC of Oak Ridge.  She was a 1960 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Donald Hughes; parents, Thomas Elmer and Erma Webb Hughes Underwood; brothers, Thomas, Ronnie, Baxter and Roger Underwood;  sister Barbara Smith; son-in-law, Eddie Wampler.

She is survived by her daughters, Sara Denise Bridges (Mike) and Gloria Lynn Cookie Bailey (JB); son, Gary Edward Hughes (Pam); grandchildren, Casee Meyer (Justin), Michael Wampler (Kelly), Kayla Harriss (Chloe'), Callie Bailey; great-grandchildren; Aston and Anora Meyer, Mason Wampler, sisters, Linda Grady and Diane Nipper (Paul); sister-in-law, Janice Underwood.

Along with a host of other family members and friends.

The family will have a graveside service at 12 noon on Friday November 8, 2024 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations to the printing ministry at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated.
